Trivia: How many Girl Scout cookies were eaten at camp last summer?

Did you know that you can use Cookie Credits and FUNds to help pay for camp?

Pay for camp with these funds:

• Cookie Credits from the 2012 Cookie Program (expire August 31, 2013)
• Cookie Credits from the 2013 Cookie Program (expire August 31, 2014)
• FUNds from the 2012 Fall Product sale (expire August 31, 2013)

Register for a camp session up until two weeks before it starts (unless it fills up earlier).

Don’t Say “Neigh” to Cookies

Troop 16218 wasn’t horsing around when they decided to raise funds toward their goal of going to horse camp. The troop sold enough cookies for their entire troop to attend camp in June.

Baking Up Some Fun

Troop 25091 baked up some cookie fun when their chefs sold cookies fresh out of the oven.

All In The Details

Troop 55639 focused on the details with a poster showing each girl’s goals, plenty of bling and a quilt displaying their troop number.

Daisy Garden

Troop 55398 decided to decorate their first cookie booth based on the Between Earth and Sky journey books. The booth has a green grass table cloth with flowers growing out of it and a tree above.

Rainbow Bright

Troop 16123 drew in their potential customers with a rainbow leading them straight to a pot of Girl Scout Cookies.

Flower Power

Troop 16671 took being Daisies to a whole new level. Their cookie booth featured a larger-than-life flower.

Entry Requirements

• Photo must be taken between March 15–17
• Photo can be from a cookie booth, door-to-door sales, mobile sales, etc.
• Photo must include Girl Scout Cookies
• Only one entry per troop

How to Enter

• Email your photo to Product Program and include your troop number and the names of the girls in the photo in the email
• We encourage you to also share your photo on River Valleys’ Facebook page

Photos are Due by Wednesday, March 20 at 8 pm

Prizes

• Winning photo will be featured in the 2014 Family Guidebook for the Cookie Program which is mailed to 35,000 Girl Scout homes
• Troop will receive a cookie table cloth, cookie banner, cookie balloon set and a Thin Mint cookie costume
• Each girl in the winning troop will receive a tote bag with a Girl Scout T-shirt, cookie journal, Girl Scout lanyard, cookie-flavored Lip Smackers and a Girl Scout metal water bottle

One troop will be selected from the qualifying entries by River Valleys’ Product Program team.

The Buy 12 Give 12 promotion is back by popular demand. For each customer who purchases 12 packages of cookies between February 25–March 17, River Valleys will donate 12 packages of cookies to Second Harvest Heartland food shelf network.

Win a Troop Camp Experience!

For every customer who buys 12 packages during the promotion, your troop will earn one entry to win a troop camp experience.

• Each customer’s purchase must be included on a Buy 12 Give 12 form and then submitted to Product Program by March 22.
• If a customer purchases 24 packages, it will count as two entries.
• Only one troop will win.
• Maximum value of $1500.

The more customers your troop has participate in Buy 12 Give 12, the better your chance of winning!

We are very excited to celebrate a successful Girl Scout Cookie Program with you at Feed the Need on May 4.

Girls who purchased a Party in a Bag for the National Cookie Sleepover are eligible to attend. Each troop will also be provided with enough adult passes to cover the appropriate adult-to-girl ratio for events per GSUSA regulations.

Send in your pictures of booths held from March 1-3, and your troop may win $100 in Cookie Credits and “Bling My Booth” patches for the entire troop.

Two troops will win – one prize goes to younger girls (Daisies, Brownies and Juniors) and one goes to older girls (Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors.

Eligible booths are held between March 1 and 3, and only one entry will be accepted per troop. To enter, email a picture of your booth to our Cookie team by March 6 at 8 pm.

River Valleys’ Board Chair Deb Wilkinson recently visited Girl Scouts in Zumbrota, MN to help them practice for the upcoming Girl Scout Cookie Program. They worked on their sales pitch and learned how to count money.

As Girl Scouts progress through the Cookie Program over the years, so do the skills they learn. While the Girl Scout Daisies and Girl Scout Brownies who worked with Deb are learning how to make change, Girl Scout Seniors and Girl Scout Ambassadors are focusing on how to best market their cookies based on customer behavior.
