Throughout the summer, the Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys is proud to offer numerous Volunteer-led Day Camps for registered Girl Scouts.   Run by talented and enthusiastic teams of volunteers, our Volunteer-led day camps each have unique themes and schedules of fun activities.  You might learn to cook over a campfire, play a new game or sport, tie-dye a t-shirt or bandanna, or make a great scrapbook page of your time at day camp!

Some of 2009 themes included:

-Go Green  -Animals -Amazing Race
-Traditional Outdoor Skills and Camping -Science -Carnivale/New Orleans

All offer programs for incoming first grade Girl Scout Daisies through incoming sixth Grade Cadettes, and many have numerous leadership

growth opportunities for incoming seventh grade Girl Scout Cadettes-Girl Scout Ambassadors.

All volunteer-led day camps are supported year-round by River Valleys’ staff to ensure they meet numerous standards regarding program, budgeting, risk management, and health and safety.  Registration is handled by each Day Camp, and Grants for Girls (financial assistance) is available for all registered Girl Scout participants. Adults can even join in the fun by volunteering!

Our list of Volunteer-led Day Camps is growing each week, so check back often.  We look forward to seeing you this summer!

Attention older Girl Scouts!  If you are interested in being a Caddie at a day camp this summer, please contact the Day Camp you want to volunteer with for more information.
