Camp Northwoods, located an hour east of Duluth, Minn., is a 420-acre camp offering a variety of programming for girls going into grades 4 through 12. Situated on the edge of the Chequamegon National Forest, Camp Northwoods has the feel of the pristine wilderness yet offers modern amenities for every grade and camping level. Girls can participate in horseback riding at our beautiful Jane Olive Equestrian Center, complete with two riding rings and miles of trails. Girls can venture into the wilderness with our Adventure Sessions in canoeing, kayaking, or backpacking. Other activities offered include boating, sports, arts and crafts, archery, fishing, low-ropes adventure course, outdoor skills, and more! Weekend programs for adult and girl pairs or troops are also available. Transportation can be provided. Horseback riding is available for all.

Nutritious and kid-friendly meals are served family-style in the dining hall. Many girls will also have the chance to cook outdoors as part of their activities. Snacks are provided in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Girls sleep in a variety of housing, depending on their grade and program level. There are four troop houses complete with electricity, bunk beds, showers, and flush toilets. Girls may also enjoy an authentic log cabin feel in our cabin unit which has bunk beds and electricity, as well as a unit shelter and pit toilets nearby. Finally, there are several platform tent units for older girls. Tent units have toilets and a unit shelter nearby.
