Camp Lakamaga is located on Big Marine Lake near Forest Lake, Minn., approximately 40 miles north of St. Paul/Minneapolis. Located on 170 acres of beautiful woods and fields, camp offers a variety of activities for girls.

Housing includes: modern troop houses with bathroom and shower facilities and climate control, cabins with electricity and climate control, yurts with sky domes, open air cabins, and platform tents. A modern shower house and dining hall are available to all girls.

Camp Lakamaga offers a wide range of activities and is a wonderful experience for first-time campers or girls who like modern comforts. Sessions planned for girls age 6-16.

Main Lodge / Dining Hall
Anne Paper/Dining Hall: This large modern air conditioned and heated dining hall is the perfect setting for meals, indoor programming and campfires whatever the weather! Complete with a large modern kitchen.
Trading Post
Trading Post: Don’t forget your cookie credits at camp! You can’t afford to miss out on our store merchandise – how about a Lakamaga t-shirt or sweatshirt to remember your wonderful camping days? There is something for everyone with prices as low as 75c!
Art / Old Lodge
Art Studio/Lodge: This beautiful old building is perfect for ceremonial campfires or practicing some dance and drama in the old lodge. Head next door to unleash your creativity in the year round Art Studio where the possibilities are endless!
Art / Old Lodge
Lakamaga Troop House: This wonderful building is the perfect setting for younger or first time campers. With a full kitchen, electricity, showers and flushing toilets and fireplace it makes for an amazing camp experience for all. Wheelchair accessible.
Mary Randall Troop House
Mary Randall Troop House: This large open space is great for a troop get together and sleep over. Features a fireplace, full kitchen and flush toilets.
Yurt
Yurt Unit: These unique Mongolian tents are a favorite among girl scouts of all ages. A giant dome with bunk beds for up to 12 people and nearby latrines will make a stay at camp one you won’t forget.
Cabins
Cabins: Come and enjoy the modern amenities of camping with electricity and air conditioning. These cozy cabins are great for first time campers.
Tamaray Cabins
Tamaray Cabins: These open air cabins are perfect for campers to experience the wonders of nature around them. Latrines are close by.
Platform Tents
Platform Tents: Our wonderful platform tents are used to house some of our older or more adventurous campers. Pull up the flaps and enjoy a night under the stars at one with nature without having to leave camp!
Big Marine Lake
Big Marine Lake: Girl Scouts will have nothing but fun on this gorgeous lake! It is a swimming and boating paradise with so many activities to choose from! How about a pontoon picnic cruise with the rest of your camp buddies!
Program Center
Program Center: This building is the perfect setting for a fun sleepover and indoor programming. Pull up the flaps on the building to overlook the great outdoors with up to 24 of your friends as you sleep on mattresses on the floor.
Day Camp Unit Shelter
Day Camp Unit Shelter: Come to one of our day camps and use this for your base of activities such as cooking, arts and crafts and so much more!
Shower House
Shower House: Enjoy a refreshing wake up in our modern shower house with hot water, flushing toilets and sinks.
Climbing Wall
Adventure Course: Climbing walls, tires, and ropes are some of the fun you can have with your team mates as you tackle the course!
Archery
Archery: Calling all Maid Marian Archers! Come and learn new skills or perfect the old ones at this fun filled archery range.
