Camp Elk River is located 30 miles northwest of
Minneapolis. From woods to wetlands, prairies to rolling
hills, campers will enjoy Camp Elk River’s beautiful 1,200
acres in a safe and fun environment.
Housing includes: modern “dorms” with full bathroom
and shower facilities in each building, as well as unique“tree house” cabins with a centrally located shower
house. Everyone eats in the spacious dining hall, located
in the Grey Koch building.
Campers at Camp Elk River can ride horses in the ring
or on a short trail ride and swim in the beautiful sandbottomed
pool, Lake Barbara. All campers will enjoy
traditional camp activities. Sessions planned for girls age
6-17. |

| Camp Elk River facilities include: |

Gray Koch Building: This multi-purpose building is home to a dining hall with large kitchen and four indoor activity rooms. The dorm wing can accommodate campers in a modern setting with electric, flush toilets and showers. |

Equestrienne Center: Calling all cowgirls! Enjoy relaxing here after a hard day at the stables in this heating building with a kitchen. Pull a mattress to the ground and prepare for the day ahead. |

Red Barn: Ever dreamt of sleeping in a barn? This rustic heated barn is a great place for a sleepover! Equipped with kitchen facilities and nearby shower house. Get the experience of being way out west without living camp! |

Trading Post: Don’t forget your cookie credits at camp! You can’t afford to miss out on our store merchandise – how about a Elk River t-shirt or sweatshirt to remember your wonderful camping days? There is something for everyone with prices as low as 75c! |

Archery Range: Calling all Maid Marian Archers! Come and learn new skills or perfect the old ones at this fun filled archery range. |

Tree Houses: Wake up free as a bird in these distinctive and elevated rustic screened cabins. With electricity, a ceiling fan and bunks for you and your camp friends these are a favorite! |

The Pines Building: Feel right at home in this modern dormitory that has 2 wings for girls to sleep with the comfort of showers and bathrooms inside each wing. |

Lake Barbara: Girl Scouts will have nothing but fun on this one of a kind sand bottomed pool! It is a swimming paradise on a warm summer day! |

Timber Meade: This cozy cabin is modern with a kitchen, bathrooms and showers and heat. Have a slumber party with up to 28 people and mattresses on the floor for a fun camping experience! |

Popp & Pickering Cabins: These modern cabins are heated with the added bonus of sitting and watching the fire glow in the fireplace right in your sleeping area! Kitchen, bathrooms and showers are also included. Each cabin can sleep up to 20 people on mattresses on the floor. |

Morgan and Pinto Cabins: Each heated cabin has 10 bunks with an inside picnic table which can be used for your afternoon snack, making friendship bracelets or unleashing your creativity on an art project with the rest of your cabin mates! |

Day Camp Unit Shelter: Come to one of our day camps and use this for your base of activities such as cooking, arts and crafts and so much more! |

Adventure Course: Climbing walls, tires, and ropes are some of the fun you can have with your team mates as you tackle the course! |
