Save-the-date: Centennial Day of Service

October 13, 2012
Plan to join us for River Valleys’ final event of the Centennial year. Girl Scouts, alumnae and volunteers of all ages will help their communities improve water resource conservation and protection. The council-wide environmental service project is designed to reduce phosphorus levels in lakes and rivers. Current Girl Scouts and alumnae across the region will work together, in their own communities, to prevent the growth of 10 million pounds of algae by removing 20 thousand pounds of yard waste before it enters lakes and rivers, saving the state $6 million in clean-up costs. Read more about River Valley’s Centennial Day of Service: 2012 Take Action Project.
