On October 13, River Valleys’ Girl Scouts:

  • Prevented algae growth by cleaning up organic debris in their communities
  • Distributed 50,000 door hangers to educate the community about the importance of keeping storm drains clear
  • Marked storm drains with “Only rain down the storm drain” messaging

On the Centennial Day of Service, girls raked, swept, bagged and removed loose dirt, grass and leaves from public spaces.
