100th Anniversary Program
This patch program is a way to actively engage girls in the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting and recognize them for that engagement. By being actively engaged in the 100th Anniversary, girls will increase their sense of pride in being a Girl Scout because they will increase their understanding of:
- the history of Girl Scouting
- the influence Girl Scouting has had on women in our community
- the opportunities available to them through Girl Scouting
- the impact they as Girl Scouts can have on our community
The patch program is for all grade levels and may be earned through participation in Centennial events and activities at the troop, service unit, and council levels, including the Oral History Project, various The Great Girl Gathering @ MOA festivities, and the Centennial Day of Service: 2012 Take Action Project.
Earning the patch is one of the core components of Planning Guides, so that all girls are given the opportunity and time to engage in the 100th Anniversary as part of their regular Girl Scout programming.
