Girl Scouts know the importance of taking action in their community – especially when it comes to ensuring a positive future for fellow youth in Minnesota!
On January 27, Girl Scouts joined nearly 1,000 advocates at the 2017 Children & Youth Issues Briefing in Saint Paul, which convenes each year at the start of the legislative session. A group of Girl Scouts from West Side Summit Charter School attended to ensure that youth voices are heard and part of the conversation. Not only did the girls learn about policy and systems change, they also spoke with legislators about issues facing youth in their community.
