We’re looking forward to Give to the Max Day on November 17, a day for Minnesotans to come together and donate to their favorite organizations (like Girl Scouts!). Donations to River Valleys provide opportunities for girls to build a better world by giving back to their community. We’ll also be contributing with a community service project of our own!
Help Troop 55640 Build a Better World
For the past three years, Gabrielle, Paige, and Cecilia, all members of Troop 55640, have been hard at work on their Girl Scout community garden project. Through their project, what was once an abandoned and overgrown lot is now a thriving garden with over 25 plots shared by the entire neighborhood. Each summer the troops’ garden has grown a little bit bigger, and the girls proudly delivered over 600 pounds of fresh vegetables to the Neighborhood House this past year!
These girls are already thinking about how they can help their community in a bigger way — and they are giving more on Give to the Max Day.
Build with Us!
This #GTMD2016, Troop 55640 has a goal to provide 300 cans of food for transitioning refugee families in need at the Neighborhood House. You can help Troop 55640 reach their goal and build their way to a better world.
Your donation to Girl Scouts on November 17 will literally build more opportunities for girls to give their max. For every donation you make, we donate a canned good item to help Troop 55640 reach their goal. Follow along throughout the day as we build a world map made of cans, representing the world we envision for all girls!
As a special bonus: With any donation, you can also honor a special girl in your life who is building a better world in her own community. For every donation you make in honor of a girl or woman in your life, you will receive a special Give to the Max Day patch!
We can’t wait share our progress with you! Help us get started by making your gift today!
