Taylor Sweet’s first cookie sale as a Daisy Girl Scout was a success on all fronts. With the help of friends and family, she acquired 1,000 packages of cookies to donate to the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital.
When Taylor was younger, she had surgeries to remove a cataract from her eye. She remembered what it was like being in the hospital and wanted to provide a sweet treat to other kids who were facing medical issues. She shared this effort with her friends and family from which came a very generous donor, allowing for the 1,000-cookie packages donation. Taylor then enlisted help from her classmates to attach an encouraging note on every single cookie package that was donated.
