Early Bird season now runs through July 17 – it’s going to be a hoot, and we think you’ll see why after learning about this year’s mascot and the great perks for participating!
The Low-Down: Early Bird is an annual season when we start to wrap up the current Girl Scout year and prep for next year by offering members early membership renewal (which comes with perks!).
The Dates: This year’s Early Bird season started May 1 and has been extended to July 17.
The Perks: Girl Scout members who renew their membership for the 2016-2017 Girl Scout year during the Early Bird season will receive the 2017 Early Bird patch and a shop punch card, which gives you 15% off any item purchased in the store on 12 separate visits, between July 2016-June 2017. These items will be mailed directly to members during the month of July.
The Process: Troop leaders and service unit volunteers have been given the opportunity to renew troops prior to today, so you may have already been contacted by your troop leader or service unit volunteer regarding renewing your membership. If not, you can learn more about the renewal process, find answers to frequently asked questions, and renew your membership online here.
Bonus Fun: Our 2017 Early Bird mascot is the (adorable) Northern Saw-whet Owl. To get you more acquainted with this lovable, native bird, our Troop Support team developed an Early Bird activity plan, which is filled with Saw-whet owl fun facts, games, and activities. (Our favorite is the Saw-whet Owl puppet craft — complete with its own pellet!)
We hope you have a fantastic spring and take advantage of these Early Bird perks! As always, if you have questions regarding renewing your membership or the Early Bird perks, you can contact us at 800-845-0787 or email@example.com.
