Announcement from GSUSA – 2018 Membership Dues

To our valued members of the Girl Scout community, we’d like to share an important announcement from Girl Scouts of the USA’s CEO, Anna Maria Chávez: Starting in the Girl Scout 2018 membership year, which officially begins October 1, 2017, the annual national membership dues will increase to $25.00 for girls and adults. All membership dues go directly to the national organization, Girl Scouts of the USA. While this fee increase will impact many families, we know that a Girl Scout membership is one of the most valuable investments anyone can make in a girl’s life.

This upcoming increase is needed to support GSUSA’s research and continued investment and development of new technology and enhancements to girls’ program experiences in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), entrepreneurship, the outdoors, and life skills. You can find more information regarding this on the March 24 GSUSA blog post.

Girl Scouts River Valleys is committed to ensuring that all girls, regardless of financial means, can fully participate in our Girl Scout program, and we will continue to provide financial assistance accordingly.
