Girl Scouts River Valleys Named MN Wild’s Charity of the Month – March 2016

Minnesota Wild Charity of the MonthGirl Scouts River Valleys is incredibly honored to be chosen as the Minnesota Wild’s Charity of the Month for March 2016. We are grateful to be recognized and have this opportunity to highlight the ways in which Girl Scouts are taking chances, charting a course, and creating change! We at River Valleys want to say thank you (thank you, THANK YOU!) to our partners at Innovative Office Solutions and the Minnesota Wild for selecting us.

We’re looking forward to Girl Scout Night with the Minnesota Wild on Thursday, March 10. Read more about this cool program here.

(We dropped off some cookies for the Wild as a thank you – we’re hoping they are as #wildaboutcookies as we are!)

I was a brownie, then a girl scout about 50 years ago in Los Angeles I went to TV studios to learn how shows
were produced, writers, set designs for then the Art Linkletter show, went camping, opening of major event attractions and many other events and historical sites that I would never have experienced if it wasn’t for Girl Scouts . It is a GREAT way to encourage and expand young girls to believe in themselves and the opportunities the world offers.

Hi Jamie, Girl Scout Night at the Wild will be a night in which the Wild will be talking about Girl Scouts River Valleys and showing a video explaining what Girl Scouts is and how to get involved. While Girl Scouts are welcome to attend on this night, we do not have any special Girl Scout offers such as discounted tickets or patches. We are honored to be chosen as the Wild’s Charity of the Month as it gives Girl Scouts more visibility and hopefully encourages other girls to join.
