Each year, Girl Scouts River Valleys honors its Gold and Silver Award recipients with a special ceremony. Family and friends gather to recognize the service and leadership of girls who earned Girl Scouting’s highest awards. This year we are celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. We are looking forward to this special event and are excited to recognize this year’s award recipients.
Girls who wish to participate in one of the spring recognition events must complete their Gold or Silver Award project and submit their final report by March 1. Final reports received after March 1 will be recognized the following year.
In order to accommodate the numerous recipients and guests, we offer two Gold + Silver Award ceremonies – the Owatonna ceremony will be held on June 5, and the St. Paul ceremony will be held on June 12. Recipients can choose which ceremony will work best for them to attend. Formal invitations will be sent out in April.
