ConnectZ Alumnae Becomes ConnectZ Leader

Cearah Hamilton recently joined the Girl Scouts staff as a Community Engagement Specialist, serving as a troop leader and mentor to dozens of young women who participate in our Girl Scouts ConnectZ program. Cearah couldn’t be more perfect for this role – she was a Girl Scout in a ConnectZ troop herself as a girl.

Cearah participated in ConnectZ at Como Park Senior High School, where she graduated in 2010. During her time as a Girl Scout Cearah went on a historically black colleges and universities tour, formed strong relationships with her troop leader and troopmates, and earned her Gold Award, which has grown into a nonprofit, mentoring program for young women.

Cearah is currently attending Century College in White Bear Lake, MN, where she is studying nonprofit administration and communications. In addition to her role as leader and mentor for a new generation of ConnectZ girls, she is also serving as a Miss Black U.S. Ambassador, an opportunity to share her knowledge and influence to give a voice to communities that seek to make a difference.

We are so grateful to add this remarkable young woman to our team who knows first-hand how experiencing Girl Scouts makes a difference.
