2015 Gold + Silver Award Ceremonies

Each year, Girl Scouts River Valleys honors its Gold and Silver Award Recipients at an annual recognition event. Family and friends gather to recognize the service and leadership of girls who earn Girl Scouting’s highest awards.

This year’s Gold and Silver Award Ceremonies are fast approaching! Invitations were sent to award recipients in April. All award recipients who wish to attend must RSVP by registering online.

Please note: Online registration is only for the award recipients. Girls will indicate the number of guests they are bringing when they register.

There are two award ceremonies. Award recipients can attend the ceremony that is most convenient for them.

My troop will be earning their silver award next year. How do I make sure that they get invited to this event next year?

  2. Girl Scouts River Valleys says

Hi Kaela, when your troop earns their award they will be added to our database of award recipients and will receive an invitation to the award ceremonies. If you have specific questions about the silver award process our troop support team would be happy to answer them for you! They can be reached at 800-845-0787 or at girlscouts@girlscoutsrv.org.

  3. Jennifer says

Our Troop earned their Bronze Award this year! How many girls earn the Gold & Silver Awards annually?

  4. Girl Scouts River Valleys says

Hi Jennifer, congratulations to your troop on earning their Bronze Award! This year we are recognizing 70 Gold Award recipients and 343 Silver Award recipients which is pretty typical for our council.

  5. Sarah Dale says

Question: My Seniors have finished their Journey and are starting to think about Gold Award. I am looking for ideas to spark their thinking. Do you have a list of this year’s awardees? or last years?

    • Girl Scouts River Valleys says

Hi Sarah, it’s great to hear your girls are interested in earning their Gold Award! We do not have a public listing of the higher award projects but there are a lot of resources to help get girls thinking about projects. We have a Pinterest board dedicated to project ideas and Gold Award webinars that talk about what makes a good project. Any of our Troop Support specialist would also be happy to talk with you about Gold Award projects that have been done in the past that you can highlight for your girls. You can reach them at 800-845-0787 or via email at girlscouts@girlscoutsrv.org.
