Volunteer Appreciation Week

Volunteer-Appreciation-Week
As part of Volunteer Appreciation Week, we want to say THANK YOU to all of our volunteers. River Valleys relies on nearly 11,000 dedicated, enthusiastic volunteers like you to lead our troops, help at camp, teach workshops, and more. We wouldn’t be the same without you.

During the week of April 13-17, you are invited to stop in to one of our council shops and take advantage of your special volunteer discount – 30 percent off any one item. Plus, pick up a free volunteer patch.

Before visiting one of our shops, be sure to check our shop locations and hours page to confirm when we are open.

*Offer valid for in-store and mail orders.

I just want to say that it is very hard as a volunteer to make it to a store. Some of our volunteers are working full time and volunteering full time (like myself). Make our lives a little easier and mail these out to your treasured volunteers. 4 days is not a big window to schedule a store run. Maybe next year look into an online code we could use? Not being nasty at all but I really wish we would recognize the volunteers a little better. That’s this leader, cookie mom, girl scout mom and lady that was too busy to squeeze in a store run to feel appreciated this week two cents.

Hi Danielle, thank you so much for taking the time to express your feedback. We at the council are trying to do a better job of recognizing our volunteers and expressing to them our gratitude. It is your feedback that helps us to improve our efforts to help volunteers feel truly appreciated. Someone from our shop will be following up with you. Thank you for all that you do.

Hi agree totally. I am a SUM and leader and I am recognizing our leaders tonight at our leader meeting and didn’t realize until now (and it’s too late) that council was offering this discount to our leaders. I’m disappointed I missed it-maybe offering it the whole month of April would be a nice idea? With the limited hours the local shop is open, it is nearly impossible to have our leaders make the run in. If council mailed the leaders something, I would appreciate that too.
