Girl Scouts Greet Troops with Cookies at Airport

This year during the Cookie Program, River Valleys’ Girl Scouts collected donations for more than 27,000 packages of cookies to be donated through Operation Cookie Care Package. One of the recipient organizations was the Armed Forces Service Center (AFSC).

Working with the AFSC, River Valleys was able to bring Girl Scouts to greet military women and men during a layover at the MSP airport on Saturday, April 12. The girls handed out Thin Mints that were part of the Operation Cookie Care Package donation.

A few stations stopped by to capture the event. You can find their coverage in the links below.

How were girls chosen to do this? My troop had a lot of donated boxes and would have loved to participate!

Hi Laura. We invited our cookie spokesgirls and their troops to this event. If your troop is interested in being cookie spokesgirls next year, be sure to watch out for the signup in January which will be sent through The Smart Cookie.
