2014 Annual Business Meeting + Generational Exploration Workshop

Posted by

blog-2014-annual-meetingAll Girl Scouts River Valleys members are invited to attend our Annual Business Meeting on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Jefferson High School in Bloomington, MN.

Learn + Connect

Spend the day connecting with other Girl Scouts while you learn and share stories.

During registration, guests can enjoy a resource fair, where a Girl Scout Shop will be set up along with tables displaying information about Girl Scout programs, events, and more.

The resource fair will be followed by an inspiring and fun generational exploration workshop presented by Amy Lynch of Generational Edge. Interact with Girl Scout peers from five different generations to explore how each generation was shaped by historical events, technologies, and economic conditions. Learn how to encourage better communication and understanding between the groups so that all generations can bring their passion to the work of Girl Scouts.

Following the workshop, enjoy a delicious lunch and conversation with all generations.

Voting

During the Annual Business Meeting in the afternoon, members will hear about the exciting highlights of the 2013 membership year and receive the 2014 Membership Year Outlook. Elections will be held for new board officers and directors, and board development members, so all 2014 elected delegates are encouraged to represent their service unit and make their vote count.

Registration

While members are invited to attend both the workshop and the afternoon meeting, they can choose to attend just one of the opportunities if they’d like. Lunch will be available from noon–1:00 pm. Registration is now open on eBiz.

Volunteer

River Valleys has many volunteer opportunities at the Annual Meeting for adults and girls aged 14 and over. For more information, contact Christine Berg Schroeder via email or at 651-379-4792.
