This Week at Camp: Pirate Week

Posted by

blog-pirate-weekArrr mateys, it’s a pirate’s life at camp! Girls had a lot of fun walking the plank, sinking pirate ships and playing games like capture the flag.

Camp Elk River

This week was our first Teen Take Action program, where girls learned leadership skills that they put to action by planning and leading camp activities. In addition to pirate week festivities, girls had loads of fun with archery, arts and crafts, swimming in Lake Barbara and kayaking at Stone Lake.

Camp Lakamaga

There was much laughter and fun during the week with Rocking Robin being the most popular game in the mornings, and swimming was the favorite afternoon activity. There was also extra fun with mix-it-up color meals to meet new friends, and girls sang SpongeBob-themed attention callers like “Are you ready kids” and “Aye, Aye Captain”. The laughter and friends made this week will never be forgotten.

Camp Northwoods

This week, our Boundary Water Canoe and Chippewa Flowage Kayak trippers returned with fabulous stories about their adventures. Our Counselors-in-Training helped lead programs, and girls enjoyed their time with horses, archery, gaga, cook-outs and more.

Camp Singing Hills

The second level trip dabblers left this week on a canoeing adventure, and level one trip dabblers camped out in their tents. Girls back at Singing Hills enjoyed an all-camp cook-out, and they had lots of fun sinking pirate canoes.

Make sure to watch the videos from the rest of the summer too!
