i love all the pictures as these capture all the great things girls get to do in scouts. my vote is for the canoe ride…this was probably something out of their comfort zone and this is what i love about scouts for my girls! they are encouraged to try new things even if they are a little scary! my girls have experienced many first during scouts: horseriding, camping skills-cooking, starting a fire, team building, rock climbing etc. they have also developed social and leadership skills and have made a lot of good friends! they are learning life lessons that will help them be productive women and great citizens in the future!

Like all of them, my favorite would really depend upon what you are trying to convey and what your message is going to be. If it is relationships- definitely the troop hike, if it’s Up, Up and Away- expanding your horizons, then it’s probably the hot air balloons, getting in touch with nature- the canoe ride and living outside of your comfort zone- the horse riding one.

I also like the canoeing picture as it features minority girls, showing that Girl Scouts serves girls of all backgrounds. I like the hiking picture though because it includes older girls. I also like the girls with the balloons, because it portrays activities out of the ordinary. My only critique is that none of the pics seem to have the girls wearing Girl Scouts clothes or uniforms or any way of identifying them as Girl Scouts. My troop has matching tshirts. It would be nice if more girls wore identifying clothing when out doing activities so that people would readily recognize that Girl Scouts is still available as a great organization for young women!

Maria, we very frequently use girls in uniform or other Girl Scout clothing for our advertisements as well as our blogs and social media posts. These were all submitted by girls and families. While this contest is closed for submissions, we always welcome you and anyone else to share pictures of your Girl Scouts with us on our Facebook page or by emailing gspr@girlscoutsrv.org.
