See Your Face on a Billboard

Posted by

Thanks to a generous donation from Clear Channel Outdoor, River Valleys is continuing the “Where Can Girl Scouts Take You?” campaign through 2013.

We’re asking you to submit summer photos from your Girl Scout experience by emailing them to Girl Scouts Public Relations for a chance to appear on one of those billboards. Submit your pictures by July 31. Did you go to camp? Travel? Try new activities? We want your pictures!

Where Can Girl Scouts Take You? Rock Climbing

One winning image will be featured on a billboard in the Twin Cities metro area in 2013. Photos must be from the 2012–2013 program year and feature currently registered girls. Submitting photos to Girl Scouts Public Relations authorizes Girl Scouts River Valleys to use them without further approval. For best results, avoid submitting photos taken with a phone. River Valleys has sole discretion in the selection of the winning image.

See some of our past billboards for the type of images that work best. Winners will be notified prior to billboard posting.

We look forward to seeing all of your adventures!

  1. Terry Burgess says:

What are the rules for submission?

Does the troop #, girls names and activity need to be included?

Permission to use images of others in the background photo as well?

How many images can be submitted from the same troop?

  2. Girl Scouts River Valleys says:

Hi Terry- Great questions. We would like the troop number and girl names. If you cannot make out the faces of individuals in the background of photos, then no permission is needed. If the photo is in a public place, permission is not needed, but we do prefer it. You can submit as many photos as you’d like, though we recommend limiting the number of submissions to your top five. We will be deciding finalists in early August, so we recommend that you submit images to gspr@girlscoutsrv.org as soon as possible.
