Attend a Combined SUMIT/Town Hall Meeting

Posted by

Make your voice heard and register for a SUMIT and/or Town Hall Meeting in May. All service team members are encouraged to attend the 6 pm SUMIT* for networking and information sharing prior to the Town Hall Meeting. At 6:30 pm, River Valleys will welcome service team members, along with all delegates and members, to join in the Town Hall Meeting.

The conversation at the Town Hall Meetings will cover five focus areas:

  1. Two women sitting at a tableExpanded diversified funding
  2. Programing and participation models
  3. Technology optimization
  4. Volunteer delivery model
  5. Cookie Program

The Town Hall Meetings will build on the conversations held by delegates at January’s Open Space Summit, which focused on the central theme of creating an exciting future for the River Valleys community. For more details on the Open Space Summit, please read the Book of Proceedings.

Please review the Town Hall Meeting discussion questions and come prepared to participate in some collaborative and interactive discussions.

Locations + Dates

*Please note: To simplify our volunteers’ lives, we are canceling the previously scheduled May SUMITs and have transitioned to this combined meeting approach.

  1. Anne Marie DeBoard says:

I wish you hadn’t changed the way the SUMIT meetings are held. I get off work between 5:30 and 6pm in Eden Prairie. I used to be able to swing by the SUMIT in Savage and also grab a bite to eat before it. I won’t be able to make a 6pm SUMIT in St. Paul.

  2. Girl Scouts River Valleys says:

Hi Anne Marie- While we understand the schedule change may not be convenient for some volunteers, combining May SUMITs with Town Hall Meetings was an effort to simplify schedules for those volunteers who are required to attend multiple Girl Scout meetings during the busy month of May, and to encourage attendance at Town Hall Meetings. We would be happy to provide a summary of the SUMIT notes to you.
