River Valleys’ 100th Anniversary of Scouting Patch

Centennial patch and rockersThis patch program is a way to actively engage girls in the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting and recognize them for that engagement. Girls will increase their sense of pride in being a Girl Scout by enhancing their understanding of the:

  • History of Girl Scouting
  • Influence Girl Scouting has had on women in our community
  • Opportunities available to them through Girl Scouting
  • Impact they as Girl Scouts can have on our community

The patch program is for all grade levels and may be earned through participation in Centennial events and activities at the troop, service unit and council levels, including the Oral History Project, various Great Girl Gathering @ MOA® activities and the Centennial Day of Service: 2012 Take Action Project.
Earning the patch is one of the core components of the 2011–2012 Program Essentials Charts, so that all girls are given the opportunity and time to engage in the 100th Anniversary as part of their regular Girl Scout programming.

I am curious as to how my daughter can earn the rocker patch that is yellow. We attended the Tweite Pumpkin Patch, Moa Great Girl Gathering, and the CDOS. What else are we supposed to do to earn the yellow rocker? Please let me know.

  2. Brenda Carlson says

How do I purchase the middle patch (celebrating 100 years, etc)? My girlscout earned it but never received it from her leader. The leader said it was out of stock, or not available?

  3. Girl Scouts River Valleys says

Hi Brenda- The patch is available in our shops. Please call ahead to the shop you plan to visit just to make sure it’s in stock there. You can find your closest shop and number here.

My daughter earned this, but I don’t know where it goes on her vest. I’m assuming it goes on the back along with the fun patches?
